teaching notes
As an organisation, one of our main areas of work is resourcing church leaders in the developing world. This section of the website contains teaching notes from Stewart Bloor, SICM's Director. The actual notes, in many instances, are presented in such a way that they provide a skeleton framework for someone to preach a sermon. The notes give the general direction of the teaching, and the individual pastor can add 'meat to the bones' so that the sermon is personal to him and relevant to the situation that he is teaching into. Other topics contain more detail, but can still be used as sermon or Bible study material. The aim is to equip the church leader so that he can then instruct his congregation. The actual page containing the notes has been kept to a minimum in terms of headings and graphics, therefore making printing easier. Even in rural situations, pastors very often have access to the Internet, and so by providing notes in this way we are enabling church leaders to access much needed resources. All the notes have actually been used by Stewart himself as part of sermons / Bible studies. Feel free to use them as relevant, and if you do use them, then let us know. We do get lots of feedback, and it's always nice to hear what is happening. click here for teaching notes index
