areas
of work
As an organisation
we are involved in a number of specific areas of ministry. These are
listed below, and if you would like any further information or even
how to get involved yourself, then contact
us and we will do all we can to answer your query or talk about
opportunities. The headings below are brief outlines, for further and
more in-depth information, enter the links attached to each.

Internet
message board
As an organisation
we have fully grasped the opportunity that the Internet has provided.
Therefore it is no surprise that we have been running a discussion
board since January 2003, which itself began life as an e-mail
group in 2002. Originally started as a Christian football outreach
- hence the title of On-lineFC - it has quickly developed beyond
that, and we now refer to it as On-lineForChrist. In these days
of worries about Internet safety, because it is fully moderated
and members have to be activated, we offer an excellent level
of security to all those that join and get involved. The photograph
(left) was taken at Trans World Radio studios where On-lineFC
was featured in an hour long programme. You can find more information
on On-lineFC by clicking here.

Long
- term mission placements
It was a natural development
from the sending of short-term teams to Africa that we would then
place longer-term workers on the field. Whilst function may have
changed from a century ago, the age of the missionary is definitely
not dead! There is still a need for people to work cross-culturally
for the kingdom. We've placed people in Ghana, Tanzania (James
Colton in photograph) and Uganda, but would like to do more. Further
details on long-term mission placements can be found by clicking
here. |

Practical
projects
Although our mandate
is to preach the gospel, nevertheless man is tripartite and so
we adopt very much a holistic approach to ministry. And particularly
in Africa, you can't just preach, but you have to get involved
in the lives of people. This actually makes the spiritual work
easier as it adds weight to what you say and proves that you will
back your words with actions. SICM has been involved with numerous
practical projects over the years, and will continue to do so
in the future as we seek to touch the lives of many in every way
we can. Find out more by clicking

SICM
Sevens
In the
minds of many believers, faith and football (soccer to the Americans)
do not sit together comfortably. However, we have found that the
beautiful game, as it is known, is a tremendous tool as far as
outreach is concerned. Approach a group of young men in England
and ask them to come to church and you will generally get a negative
response. However, invite them to a game of football and you will
have many takers. We run a league in our local area which from
July 2007 entered its fourth season. There is a specific web site
designated to SICM Sevens and you can check it out by clicking
here.
