On-lineFC is a discussion board made up of a number of individual forums. These in turn contain separate categories so that the various posts are generally grouped together with other similar ones. Below is a list of the various forums. Anyone can join On-lineFC (it is free), all you need to do is to register (the link for that is on the discussion board home page) which you do by giving yourself a username (that is the name that will then appear next to all your posts) and a password.

The aim of the board is to a) provide a sense of community. And with members being from around the world there is plenty of diversity. With more and more people going on-line, it also is a place where the house-bound or the elderly can communicate with others of like-mind b) provide a platform for discussion. Most people like to discuss, debate and share with others, and so On-lineFC provides this opportunity. c) provide channels of communication. Some forums are specific in that they are targeted at a certain group enabling them to communicate with one another.

Spiritual forum

General spiritual chat

If it's spiritual then this is where to find it. From heavy going theological threads to much lighter topics, you'll find them all here. Although SICM is an evangelical Christian organisation, not everyone who is a member of the discussion board fits this description; and so consequently there are a variety of opinions expressed - not all of them Biblical! However, the last thing we want to do is to create an evangelical ghetto, and so providing people express themselves in a way that respects the views of others, then we have no problem with alternative points of view. As long as the truth of God's Word can be presented, then no matter what it is up against, the Holy Spirit will do the rest as people read the threads.

Christian music and book reviews

This is the latest addition to the discussion  board, seeing the light of day from September 15 2007. Music is a powerful medium and whether we are in a band or merely like to listen to CD's, the reality is that Christian music has an important place in the life of the believer. There are lots of links to sites and clips to listen to in this category, and if you're into music yourself, then feel free to come and tell us all about it. It's also the place to add any book reviews that you may have.

Prayer requests

This is a category accessible only by members (open to all to join) as it is a little more private and personal. The motto of the prayer request section is 'If it's important to you then it's important to God'. In other words, no request is too small or trivial, and as a consequence a wide range of posts are made. We also encourage people to post follow-up messages, so that we can give thanks to the Lord for answered prayer.

General forum

General chat

This is the most general section on the whole of the discussion board. There are such a wide range of topics posted that cover just about everything that you could imagine. There are serious threads and humorous ones, in fact you never know what will be posted next. So if there is something that you want to rant about, maybe a joke you'd like to share (clean only please!) or you want to tell everyone about your new pet dog, then this is the place to do it.

Who are ya?

It's always nice to know who you are talking to, and certainly as people get more involved with the discussion board, it's good to know who is behind the name. It's not compulsory of course, and people can remain as anonymous as they like (as long as they don't use their anonymity as a front to cause trouble we don't mind) but many people like to reveal a little bit more about themselves as time goes by.

Blogs and diaries

Whether it is for a week or a month or even ongoing, it's always nice to read a diary, or a blog as it is known on the Internet. If you have an interest or a hobby then why not share it with the world? Or maybe you want to tell the story of a holiday, a search for a new job, or perhaps give an insight into life in your church. Whatever it is, this is the place to do it.

This is how it all started for On-lineFC, as a place where Christian football fans could come together. So it is only natural that the beautiful game should still occupy a forum of its own. So whether you are a wolf, a seagull or even a red devil, then why not join in the fun and banter that goes on here? There are also serious discussions as well, in fact anything to do with football and you can find it in here.

Prediction League

No football forum is to be taken seriously unless it has its own prediction league. This is run for us by Carl Jukes who does a great job every week adding up all the points won by those doing the predicting. It's open to all so why not join in and see if you have your finger on the pulse. It does run from season to season so obviously if you join once things are underway then you may not win it, but it's only fun anyway and there are no prizes.

SICM Sevens 1

SICM Sevens is the name of a local football league that we run. This section is for the managers and so is a private forum. You can find out more about the league by visiting the designated website here.

Rather unimaginative in title perhaps, but this is an open section for any announcements and discussions concerning the league. Trying to run something in an efficient and well organised manner means that we have plenty of information to give out, and so by using this medium of communication we are able to reach as many people as possible.
