  Rapid growth of churches

It seems like ages since we published a report frtom Uganda. There have been some problems behind the African scenes, that we've managed to sort out. But we're really pleased to say that we're still working in the town of Soroti. To keep everyone informed of the work going on, here is a report from Pastor Julius Eribu. Pastor Julius has been heavily involved with Eric Graham's Lifestyle ministries over the years, and is one of the people we have had contact with in the area.

 

BACKGROUND

Community Church Ministry in Soroti District, North East of the country Uganda, has only come to existence since 2006 November 6,th through Reverend Julius Eribu and his wife Joyce Eribu. They repeatedly got a Vision to begin something new and unique while they were pastoring one of the biggest churches, Julius served for 8 years. Julius didn’t exactly know what God meant “new” but he had a conviction to openly share this with men of God and friends who prayed with them for God to reveal this, “Praise God” it came to pass in the year mentioned above in smart and peaceful way. So far, there are 40 newly branch churches reproduced in five districts within Teso region. This ministry is rapidly spreading its roots deep and wide in the region.

 

Community Church Ministry has Board members who are committed to see that the work is running according to the vision and practically support the work. The church is established with an office and many departments running as stated below. This Ministry is strongly supported and encouraged by the government of Uganda.

 

VISION STATEMENT

To Bringing people to Christ develop and equip them for the work of ministry.

 

“And these things which you have hard from me, in the presence of many witnesses, entrust these things to faithful men, who will be able to reach to others also” (2 timothy 2:2)

 

THE MISSION STATEMENT

We exist to bring people to Jesus and membership in His family, develop them to Christ like to, quip them for ministry and life mission in the world (Communities) to glorify Gods name.
