We got there in the end

November 11 2008

Whilst getting your call and being obedient are vital ingredients in someone going to the mission field, there is a lot more to it than that in terms of the placement being a successful one. And it's very often the minor things that prove to be the most troublesome. Take the Malan family, who are now in India, as an example. You wouldn't believe how difficult it has been to transfer money out to them. We've made telephone calls and visits to banks and we've only just managed to get the first payment out to them. Along the way there has been a bounced money transfer and numerous dead ends. You'd think it would be the easiest thing in the world to give money away, but it isn't. But we got there in the end.

On the ministry front Geoff reports that he has just returned from the north of India this weekend. He ministered to leaders who were preparing to church plant, a total of 26 in all. And they sat there from morning through to evening receiving what Geoff had prepared for them. What a blessing it is to receive news like this.
