More project update news from Uganda

April 8 2008

It's all systems go at the moment as far as projects in Uganda are concerned, with the following being the latest additions, the reports coming direct from Africa:

1. Hand Crafts. We have been able to set up two groups of women in the villages of Akus and Igola and they are presently engaged in hand crafts activities to generate income for support of themselves and their families. Materials were purchased and provided for them and they are now busy making local mats, pots, table clothes etc. It is a busy project and the women are extremely happy in their work and benefiting from the investment.

2. Sewing Machines. Two machines were purchased again and distributed to (name) and (name). These two ladies have been in a desperately poor situation and they were so happy to receive the sewing machines which will help them in income generation and for them to be able to support themselves. This makes now a total of seven sewing machines that have been given to the ladies in Soroti who are now able to provide for themselves, send their children to school, meet domestic needs etc.

3. Public Address System. We have been having problems in communication in our gospel crusades, conferences and other Christian events. We thank God that we we have been enabled to buy the equipment which we now use for ministry and it is working very well and appreciated.
